2023 Nissan Altima Gets Fresh Look And First-Rate Tech

The all-new 2023 Nissan Altima is celebrating the debut of its seventh-generation with an updated design, an expanded lineup, and some seriously advanced tech.

On sale later this fall, Nissan’s latest Altima will include four trim levels: S AWD, SR AWD, SR Premium, and Platinum. The impressively well-equipped lineup will feature standard Safety Shield® 360, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Driver Alertness, an Xtronic transmission, and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive across all grades.

New for 2023, the Altima’s exterior receives a new front fascia featuring an updated expression of Nissan's V-Motion grille, delivering a distinctively sporty design that adopts the redesigned brand logo. SR and Platinum models will each get their own new wheels, with two distinct 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheel designs. The Altima is also adding a new premium color option to its existing palette: Ethos Gray.

Inside, cabin comforts include standard equipped 8-way power driver’s seat, while SR models receive revised instrument panel finishings and a new dual-stitch interior fabric design. A 7.0-inch Advanced Drive-Assist® Display, NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seat design with dual-density foam and bolstering, leather-appointed seating, Bose® Premium Audio system with nine speakers, built-in Amazon Alexa®, and NissanConnect® Services are only a few of the sedan’s cutting-edge comfort and convenience options available for the 2023 model-year.

The most significant interior upgrades come to the Altima’s tech: SR, SR Premium and Platinum grades come with standard equipped ProPILOT Assist, while SR Premium and Platinum grades will enjoy the addition of a new 12.3-inch HD color display with multi-touch control, Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation system, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, wireless phone charging pad, and WiFi hotspot.

Last but not least, the 2023 Nissan Altima’s 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine delivers 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, relying on the Altima’s standard equipped Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system that automatically redistributes torque to the wheels according to road and driving conditions. As always, the Altima offers especially impressive fuel efficiency coming in at a combined fuel economy of 7.8L/100 kilometers.
