The Road Less Travelled: 2022 Nissan Frontier Named 'Best Off-Road Truck'
February 07 2022, Centennial Nissan
After weeks of real-world testing across Colorado’s toughest terrain, the completely reimagined 2022 Nissan Frontier has officially been named TFLtruck.com’s ‘Best Off-Road Truck!’
Nissan’s third-generation Frontier faced off against the top-performing pickups of 2022 to end the off-road rivalry once and for all. TFL editors scored each model on its off-road prowess, technology, performance, trailer towing, and more as they made their way through the Webster Pass and Tombstone Hill trails.
Following the competition, TFL noted “the Frontier PRO-4X we tested has what it takes to tackle difficult trails. It has the locking rear differential, low-range transfer case, Bilstein shocks, and skid plates. It was a very good off-road pickup truck in its previous generation, and this new one is no different.”
Featuring best-in-class 310-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 and maximum 6,720-pound towing capacity, the 2022 Nissan Frontier is more than ready for whatever adventures await. And if your trips aren’t quite that adventurous, the Frontier’s largest-in-class standard 7.0-inch Advanced Driver Assist Display with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ will have you cruising comfortably through the Island’s city and country roads with ease.
